Year 1994

Table Wine Consumption averaged 6.5 liters per capita for the year. Rates were significantly higher in the Northeast and Western states.

Extrapolations over US Census Data show that the majority of case sales were seen in the West and Southern regions - with a 56% share of expected sales. Overall consumption of still wine reflected 191 million equivalent cases from this data source.

The highest consumption levels were seen in the District of Columbia, at 18.0L. There were 23 states with consumption below 5L per person. There were 8 states with consumption over 10L per person.
